4 Impactful Ways to Celebrate World Teachers Day 2022
Teachers are fabulous, and honouring them is really important. Whether you celebrate International World Teachers Day on the 5th of October or National World Teachers Day, held annually on the last Friday of October in Australia, which will be the 28th of October this year, this is a day to celebrate and recognise those that inspire students of all ages to achieve greater things in life.
When it comes to celebrating World Teacher Day, we want our words and actions to have a real impact. We want all our accolades to melt their hearts and our acts of service to really help to lighten their load, if only for one special day.

You can do many things to show your teacher how much you care. However, we feel there are 4 ways of celebrating World Teachers Day that are the most impactful.
1. Create something just for them.

With just a little consideration of who your teacher is and what they like, you should be able to make something really special that will make a joyous impact.
3. Talk to them in person.
We know kids don’t find it easy these days to look someone in the eye and have an open conversation, especially when there is a need to be a little vulnerable. However, telling your teacher how you appreciative them face to face, speaks volumes. If it helps to write a few things down and read aloud to them, that would be totally ok. Your teacher will love how you have stepped out of your comfort zone and extended yourself to let them know how you feel.
4. Ask how you can help.
Most teachers we know have to be incredibly skilled at spinning a lot of plates. Not only do they teach so many hours of face to face learning, they also have planning, development, administration and extracurricular commitments to schedule into their long and demanding day. Asking if you can lend a hand will not only make your teacher feel seen, but it will also give them more time to focus on their most important responsibilities. Being a helpful student is not only beneficial for your teacher, but also for your fellow students. If we had to pick which one of these 4 ways to celebrate ‘world teachers day’ was most impactful, we would definitely say nothing compares to lending your teacher a hand.
